As you might imagine, the twenty-one national voter clusters are not uniformly distributed across the geography of the electorate. Once again, we used unsupervised learning to get a sense of the major types of ideological mixtures. Per U.S. Census tract, we took the proportion of registered voters belonging to a given voter cluster, for every cluster, as the set of clustering features and arrived at the eight census tract types summarized below.
